Guest Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 ID is fine - but admitedly only once your used to it and know the trates and incompatibility issues that arrise at times. Also, despite what the manuals say - its always advisable to use 8 core screened, with the screen grounded to mains earth NOT 0v line. And as mentioned the noise filter cap should be used at the furthest point on the id line. ID offers solutions that EOL cant come close to, admitedly I think EOL is prob best if in a high noise location such as by an airport or taxi comapny radio tower etc etc.

Guest Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Larger installs use multiple ID networks - which if set up correctly get around that problem I think.
