Guest rnaval Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 I've bought a Sony SSC-DC10 Digital Color CCTV camera and can't seem to get a picture. I've used a 12V DC 800 mAmp power supply even though the manual asked for 12V DC 250 mAmp. I've also attached the camera to my television using a home made RG6 cable with Coaxial connection at one end for the camera and regular F type connection at the other end for my TV. I tune to channel 3 and get no picture. Can anyone suggest how I should troublshoot this? Also, there are no LEDs on the camera itself, so I cannot tell whether it's getting power. The power supply does work fine with other equipment. Sorry, I'm a newbie and don't know much about CCTV. Thanks...RN
morph Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 This connection won't work unless you wire it through a tv modulator - this basically allows you to tune the camera signal to a spare channel. Alternatively you could wire it in to the video in on a scart lead that will simply plug straight in. Assuming you have fitted the correct lense an set up the settings correctly on your camera this will work. Colin.
