baywatch Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 If the leds reflecting are a problem, it happens from day one due to faulty assembly/quality control in the factory. Problem for the installer is you don't know it until the next day unless you test every camera in the dark.
jizzer Posted July 3, 2005 Author Posted July 3, 2005 Whats the problem with spiders? are they attracted to the led's or do you get the same problem with a conventional camera housing??
baywatch Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 The problem with the spiders is that they seem to beattracted by the IR or the heat. When they make the tiniest of webs across the camera the IR is reflected back to the lens causing a white out. Normally the web can not even be seen in the day & the camera picture looks normal. Obviously if the IR and the camera are seperate then the problem does not crop up.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
camstop Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I know all the "pro" guys will know this but if you do get a red ring on the picture, if you take the front off and insert a short piece of black rubber hose that just fits over the diameter of the lens and make sure it fits flush to the front glass when you put it back together and that should sort that out I think i better get a disclaimer in my sig
