Guest ckf Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Stab in the dark...The confirmation tone may be classed as a service tone? 61346 Ahhh, right - I shall get him to try that. Brian.
Guest Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Sounds like you've made a rod for your own back. Rkp tones should be loud enough for setting ect... Take speakers down & replace with internal scbs. Don't we all love working in houses

Don't we all love working in houses 61358 Tell me about it! The problem is, it's tarnishing my view of Premier's which is unfair. I one respect, I can understand the customer not being 100% happy with it. The sounders are loud, even on vol setting 1. When put up to 8 it's gobsmackingly loud, which in my view is good for the alarm condition, but not for confirmation tones. The speakers are coming down. Thanks for the advice guys.
Nova-Security Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 WHy not get some 1watt 8 or 16 ohm resistors wire them in series until you lower the tone, but make sure you dont over load the panel see what the max speaker drive is and dont got over that. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

On the Stirling 10 (sorry!), you could adjust the volume for confirmation/error tones and this was also different for night-set too. We thought we'd have noticed a much bigger difference from setting 1 to 8 on the speaker volumes. We've been slated for wiring the speakers to the keypads (not on here) and should have taken them from the panel, but I thought it was neater taking it from the dedicated port on the RKP instead.

Before you do anything give TEXECOM a ring Technical Support Telephone: 01706 234833 Telephone: 01706 234811 Facsimile: 01706 213187 Email: techsupport@texe.com See what they suggest, sometimes simply because you use the product all the time, the obvious is not clear. I would also suggest that you get on a Premier training course, so that you can evalute the product on a level playing field.

breff Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 as bri said, turn off service tones on the keypads. I quite often turn off exit tones as well, but leave on entry tones. Im pretty sure the bell chirp can be turned off by turning on 'bell on arm fail' The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Adi Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 We have to learn sometime.Never had this issue when installing scannys. 61331 I agree mate. I wasn't being funny. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
