Guest jeremy_bp Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I need a 'Push to Set' Button for my alarm system as I want it to double up as a doorbell Having difficulty locating one, any assistance gratefully appreciated.
Guest dale Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Im not sure that you can set up a doorbell with a push to set... I will have a look.
Guest dale Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 You could set up a zone that has a chime on it (using a Texecom control panel), and then set this to be a disabled zone in the settings. This conceivably could work. You could allways just buy a n/c push switch from any electrical store.. cpc have a fairly good range as I recall. D
Service Engineer Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 You can double up the Push to Set button to act as a doorbell with many control panels, but this will only generate a chime noise from the control panel speaker, an external speaker or a keypad. What control panel have you got as this will determine whether it can be done..? ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest jeremy_bp Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I have a Veritas R8 Plus Control Panel and it can do it but I cannot find a 'push to set' button from any alarm suppliers.
Guest Peter James Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Most distributors wont sell to the general public but if you go into a senate electrical they are attached to CSD in some way or other, they will be able to get you an ARNIE. (Terminator) Pete
Guest jeremy_bp Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Thanks everybody - I thought Arnie was a governor not a member of the senate (boom! Boom!)
