Guest pixie Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Hi, we have just moved ain to the property we have bought. We asked for the code for the Burgler alarm which is a Veritas .The seller does not know the pin.The house was rented out and the tenants were told to leave before th eproperty was put on the market. It was empty for a year until we bought it.We have been in touch with Estate Agents who have told us the previous tenants will have the alarm pin and that the house was rented by the seller through an Agency , thy dont know the number either. We cannot turn the electric off to do rewiring etc due to not having the pin , nevermind not being able to use the alarm. Is there any way to reset this alarm or do we just get a new one fitted????
morph Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 You will need to get an engineer to reprogram the system for you, I would have it serviced at the same time Expect to pay between £45 and £85 plus the cost of a battery if needed dependant on your location in the country. Also it is possible to lock the engineer code into these panels, if it is locked you will need to have the panel replaced. Post your location and one of the engineers on the forums will be able to help you further.
