Alarm for my new house

Hiya fellas.. excellent forum......

I'm buying a new house and need to fit myself an alarm, it's been a while so any help is appreciated

I like the look of the Texecom Premier stuff... any good?

here is my list so far:

Premier 24 panel

keypad with "Proximity tab"

Texecom dual tech detectors

Digicom PCOM300

Texecom Odyssey 3 115db triangular External Sounder

internal sounder

battery

cable

magnetic contact for front door

fuse spur + bit of twin and earth

@JB..... Digi is to tell me when my alarm is going off..... the one ive specced will SMS me... (i hope)

By Internal Sounder do you mean the likes of a sound bomb. I wouldn't bother. I'd just put an extension speaker on the panel. Plenty loud enough if you ask me.

The com300 you've speced won't do sms, only the com2400 does it.

Have you got any experience in alarm install? As it is a couple of steps above diy, with the combination of kit you are choosing, but it'll be a nice home system if you give it some thought and care in your installation.

you would be better off with a sd2 speech dialer it also sends sms ( i think )
