Texecom sell say the oddessy 3 as well as its empty dummy.

The real one has two green flashing LED's which flashing from left right (or maybe other way round)

Anyways whats the point then in fitting a dummy oddessy box? It doesnt have the flashing green LED's so no ones gonna think its real anyways. Theyll know its a damn dummy!

So defeats the puropse of having one doesnt it?!

Er, yeah.........

I think you'll find that everyone sells a dummy version of their boxes with no LED's, it's the way it is!

You can buy a batery operated LED unit which will provide the flashing lights, but by the time you've done that you may as well get a live box and wire it up properly, especially if you're fitting it yourself.

The dummy box isn't supposed to fool anyone, it's a warning to a thief that the premisses are protected.

Working box at the front, & dummy at the rear to notify a thief the house may be alarmed.

oh ok, thanks lads.

I guess what service eng. is saying makes sense. About it being a warning...

I may buy some green leds though to make it look even more deadly! Works out cheaper than having two.

The ones with high powered red lasers are the deadly ones.

Why dont you ask texecom if they would do one with a shiny disco ball spinning round, scatter the led light round your garden.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.

The one with optional blow-dart attachment is the deadly one, the other are just plain decent.
