Business Cam Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Hi, One of our cliens require a DVR with 16 video and 16 audio channels. So we need to venture to the unknown and try to find a suitable one for our client. There are not many 16 audio channel DVR on the market today. I am thinking of buying DVR365 from SystemQ. I understand what we pay for is what we get. This is not a mission critical job, and we are not looking for any great support or any extra function, just a DVR that will work reliably for the next few years ... Has anyone used DVR365? Any problems? Best regards, Edward

SystemQ Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Hi Edward. Account customers of System Q have access to this product on free demo so why not open an account with us and try it yourself!! It has been used widely accross the UK to protect pubs and clubs as it is one of the only DVRs to have the capacity for realtime recording and audio on every channel. Along with 3.2Tb internal capacity its quite a product. We are aware of its use in the prision service for crytical recordings. Paul System Q Ltd.
Mavrick_001 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Eddie, well you already know how ace I am and I've quoted for on of these yesterday, for the price as Dave has said they're a really good unit and I'm sure once you've seen one you'll go on to fit many more..... DVR365 Software Demo 68343[/snapback] Oh god I feel so violated, to think some of the pics from the DVR365 demo are from the new Chesterfield depot and not only are we based there, but i've been in the sales desk bit no end of times.(see cam 6 ) Anyone could have been watching me ! Oh the shame. /swoon By the way if I go park the company car under camera 14 and give one of the admins the time and date to look at it, does that count as proof of being 'in the trade' P.S On a different note my sister asks can she have camera 12 moved around the corner of the building so she can tell when her husbands done fishing and it's time to put the tea on the table.
norman Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Channel 16 is by far the best quality pic. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Use the search function of the DVR365 demo to check out the handsome guy in the blue Renault Megane, can be seen on cams 2,6,13 and 14 at dead on 11am this morning. Thats the 22nd of September. B) When will my 'in the trade' membership be ready? Any comments about the premature receding hairline are not welcome. I've had a stressfull 29 years.

If this unit is as good as it sounds and for the price they are asking then I hope it takes over the market and knocks almost everything ( except the one I want to introduce ) out of the game. There is so much **** about and also we still have retards putting in analogue and multiplexers, that a boost in the arm such as the System Q machine is badly needed.. I write from the police perspective as we badly need first the high image rate and anything above 16 images per second is very acceptable and then we need the quality and then we need the low price so that the money shy cutomers will buy and then the installers will push the envelope to lift the overall performance level. Even if the System Q DVR does not live up to the image quality and performance we woiuld desire it cannot be that far away so it has to be a winner provided it gets the right technical support. I would say to all installers give this System Q DVR a serious look and if you can afford it and it does the job then use it and drop all the other stuff - and that includes the big boys toys. For police evidential purposes of getting information from video in order to solve crime and mount successful prosecutions we need much more than we are getting now. The Syetm Q spec is virtually identical to the spec we have written as a wish list spec. If I manage to get my hands on one and test it I will report back. I have no financial interest in System Q and hardly know them. I once bought a camera from them and it failed so I am not an automatic lover. But what they are currently offering is so police friendly that it would be stupid of me to not admit it. Lee Tracey Consultant Engineer to the Forensic Imaging Division West Midlands Police
