Guest aileinomuireasain Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Can anyone advise me how to wire these into the control panel? I can e-mail the instruction guides for the detectors or the panel itself, which is a Premier 24. While the likes of the Pyronix ME 12 PIRs take 4K7 resistors, these ones don't seem to...and their instuctions don't say you use any resistors (but my panel's instruction guide says to use them in the zones as EOL (End Of Line) resistors). As this is the DIY forum, please help me in very basic terminology i.e. white wire to +ve, green to -ve etc. Alan
bellman Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 wire them as per the instructions in the install manual for the premier. You only need to connect 4 wires between the panel and the detector 2 for power and 2 for zone, which colours you use to do this is irrespective. Although I'd suggest you use the same colours as the manual dictates so as to stop any possible confusion Hope this helps Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
Guest vader Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 normally you could wire the detector normally closed red=12v black=ve- yellow=alarm blue=alarm green=tamper white=tamper their are other ways to wire these but this is about the most basic way.
breff Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 The 24 can be wired double pole(2 alarm 2 tamper) or 2wire double end of line(2 resistors, 4k7 &2k2) The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
