norman Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Hi Paul, If you have the google toolbar try uninstalling it and see if that makes any difference, it sounds spyware/virus related Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
norman Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Paul, also have a look here and here Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Guest Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Or, just get firefox. Does sound like a Google Toolbar problem though. If you go into Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add\Remove Programs then click on Windows Components you can uninstall IE in there, except all it does is remove the shortcuts as IE is an integral part of windows so it's usually a pointless excercise. Also, try a Windows update to make sure you're using the latest version of IE.
amateurandy Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Have you done an anti-spyware scan as well as anti-virus? Microsoft Antispyware is very good - free download of the latest beta from www.microsoft.com home page!
