newbec Posted September 25, 2005 Share Posted September 25, 2005 RICHL,an update to my earlier post, when I try to use the "members" heading I get the following- Board Message "An error has occurred" and below that a seperate message saying something like,"You may not have permission to use/view this area. 69692[/snapback] That used to happen to me when I was a Member. Never the less you can still PM RICHL by clicking on the PM button under his avatar & details on the left hand side of any of his posts. The reply from Rich is a good example of how this site can help a member achieve the result he is after. You can't view\search for other members if you are only a standard member of this forum. As for the original email not arriving, I don't think it likes email addresses with dots in so d.w.walton@btinternet.com is not OK, dwwalton@btinternet.com is. Anyhow I'm now happily registered and able to use the site fully so alls great,as for the e-mail address thing with regard to the dots,I really can't enter it in any other way since this is my e-mail address and if entered without the dots I would assume that it bounce straight back to the sender or go to the person with that e-mail address and thats not me,Thanks again,Dave Walton.
