Guest Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Not another offical tip guy..................i though we had the only one. 70664 We've got (or had) one as well. I have to sign disclaimers and allsorts as soon as I even think about getting out of the car. Our tip has now been relocated and has been renamed to a "recycling centre" (turns junk into landfill fodder), I've not dared go down there in my car or van, usually have to borrow my Mums brand new 307, which doesn't go down too well. I then have to make several trips and spend an hour cleaning out the immaculate new car when I could have taken the same rubbish there in my car in one go. I take it this sin't just us then?
Guest G.J.M Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 The first thing i noticed was that fire alarm cable. 70161 me too
PJF Posted October 2, 2005 Author Posted October 2, 2005 A while ago I fitted my own kitchen & I had a load of card board packing left over, at the time I had a citroen relay van so I loaded it up & went down to the tip. They wanted to charge me £50, even after I explained that it was from my own house & I was not a kitchen fitter. They still wouldnt let me tip the card board & instructed me to take it back home and phone bulk rubbish who would take it away free of charge. There I was at the tip with a van full, trying to do the right thing & they exspected me to go home and put it in a neat pile on the pavement out side my house. In the end I phoned the council offices and they saw sence and phoned the tip with instruction to let me tip my rubbish. Back at the tip I gave the jumped up street sweeper a right mouthfull & he told me never to come back, so I have to take the wifes car now & hope he doesnt remember me . Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.
