Matt the Teckie Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I'd be temped to go for a full IP based NVR system for this one Darren. The processing power and HDD burden required to record 2400pps is likley to give Deep-Thought an inferiority complex. Either way, it's going to be expensive. IP systems are really good at handling this kind of thing and has another advantage, if you come to add more cameras, the only limitation is the network. As the dedicated server would look after recording, the client PC would not need to be quite so high spec. I don't normally like reccomending IP systems (bit of an analogue boy myself) but it seems to fit the bill quite well in this case. Don't have enough experience with this kind of kit to offer specific product advice though. By the way, Tracy, what did you do in the Casino industry before moving to Incident Video Systems? Was it in the UK?
Guest CarlVF Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 We have a 32/64 channel dvr that uses RAID storage coming out end aug/sept
Guest netvisiondvr Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 so far,I only know 64 channels card in the market, there has not been such SDK which can support more than 64 channels,so we do not have software that more than 64 channels.we tested 64 channels software,it required very good PC haredware configuration and high channel will lead to worse stability,so we do not recommend using high channel DVR.if you plan to configure 96 camera, you may use 2 computers.
