You probably had noticed that programming this panel is very similar to any DSC.

If you default the panel: *8 + installer code + 0 + 910# (i dont remember exactly right now), then you only have to program an "F" for dial tone before the telephone number. You should have no delay in communication, regardless of the communication format.

Hi, select #3 format for dialler. These panel play a siren tone down phone line. Pressing * key stips dialler.

Go to feature 9 and turn off all reports except #1 (Alarms) If you don't do this the panel will call you at test report time, power fail etc.

There is a dial delay, feature 25 sgment 8. Set this to '0'. the maximum delay is only 255 seconds!

I am assuming its a DAS NX-4 and not a Caddx NX-4. Both panels areCaddx but the DAS version has different programming addresses.

I have only seen the DAS type in NZ.

Hi,

I have been going nuts trying to program one of these units until I seen this clause

in Geoff's post.

"I am assuming its a DAS NX-4 and not a Caddx NX-4. Both panels are Caddx but the DAS version has different programming addresses."

I am in Sydney, Australia and I am trying to reset and set up one of these units

for my Father-In-Law in his new house. The previous owner had disconnected the

monitoring service and left no instructions as to the use of the alarm. He has asked me can I do something with it...He does not want it monitored just stand alone....

I have been able to get a copy of an installation manual which I think came from the CADDX site and have found that the programming addresses are not the same.

Can somebody out there help me with a DAS version of the manual ??????

Regards,

Garry

I can send you a copy of a manual for a DAS NX-4. I sent you an e-mail. Did you receive it?

Hi ,

I am in the same situation as "szakacs" I have purchased a new home in Melbourne Australia which has a DAS NX-4 installed, I have not been supplied with any manuals, I have been able to download the NX-4 manual but looking at this forum I have now discovered that it is incorrect.

Could you possibly send me a copy of the user & install manual for a DAS NX-4 to the following e-mail address

brian_denbesten@iag.com.au

bdenbesten@yahoo.com

Is the "go to program" default password 9713 as stated in the standard NX-4 manual if it is is there any way of reseting this password. The reason I ask is the default password does not work and I have no idea what it would be.

I e-mailed Caddx and asked them how to reset the password and they suggested I get a registered installer to change it ( I am not going to pay a technician 100's dollars to reset a password I would rather purchase a new alarm system ).

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Brian

Garry,

Thanks for your assistance, but I need you to send the manual to bdenbesten@yahoo.com my other ( work ) e-mail did not receive the manual basically because my work has implemented very high security and quess what they firewall any thing with the word "security"

Do you have a copy of the dl900 program that I have read about which enables me to connect my PC for programming.

Thanks again for your assistance

Regards

Brian

I have found that if you goto the Caddx website and register as a home automation installer that they will grant you instant access to their manuals and software.

I have now downloaded the DL900 software but can not figure out the default username and password. I think the username is caddx and I have tried several passwords including 9713 and 9050. Can anyone help shead some light on this?

Thanks
