jizzer Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, can any one recommend a good reliable alternative to the redwall detectors to trigger cctv for home use .....coverage 15M max 12vdc prefer but consider other.. Thanks
norman Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 GJD Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
CompostCORNER Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 or Crow. 70351[/snapback] Are they the Crow D&D detector? They are quite good for their price. Only problem is that their range decreases sharply over about a 3 year timespan if out with the elements. The thin lens tends to be easy to damage from stones and sticks and the likes. Had a few where the lens has become brittle and one or two where the piro has bubbled on its surface. Just swap like for like when this happens. They do serve well if serviced regularly. You get what you pay for to be honest. Like anything in the security industry. Quality has a price.

Edit: GJD are decent enough for home use, go for the Elite though.
