Guest mart1964 Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 I wonder if anyone could help me. I am an end user who bought a property with a scantronic 9200 alarm fitted. No problems apart from when changing my user code I changed my mind half way through. I sorted that out by viewing installation manual on internet and reprogrammed. My alarm was triggered by my forgetful other half who entered the property through a window, now the exit light remains lit but the alarm willnot arm itselfe whenI put in user code. Everything else works ok eg bell test, walk test, change user code etc. I am sure I just need to re set the systwem but cannot remember code for it. Any help would be greatfully received Martin
Guest dale Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Your system is probably programmed for engineer reset, either call out the alarm company who installed it or enter the engineer code (if you know it). Dale
Guest mart1964 Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Thank you for a swift response to my problem, but I do not know the installer and a different installer told me I would need a new system. I did have the correct codes with my previous problem but I did not keep them thinking if I ever needed the info again I would be able to obtain it again on the internet. Thanks anyway Martin
Guest dale Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 In all fairness without the engineer code there is little you can do (apart from crash the system, but this needs to be done by a qualified proffesional as its not an easy task). My advice would be to side with the engineer you have alread spoken to and buy a new control panel. The 9200 is fairly past it now, there are much better systems on the market that are compliant with the latest standards. Dale
Steve K Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 With the 9200 I am quite sure it is possible to reset the memory. You need to be an engineer to do this, but a good local engineer should be able to do this for you without replacement of the panel Steve Kendall Plymstock Security Systems CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Security Lighting & Access Control Covering Plymouth, Plymstock, Plympton, South Devon and South East Cornwall
Guest mart1964 Posted October 29, 2003 Posted October 29, 2003 Thank you to everyone for all your help. As I previously said Ihad to reset it myself with codes entered with the entry panel not fixed to the wall after it had crashed. The engineer codes I believe are 1234 but I had to put a 2 digit code first. I just cant find the pages giving the layout that I found last time. Once again thanks for all the help received Martin
