Hi there!

I've bought a property in withington/manchester which has the AJ600N unit installed. It's wired in as when i flick the power switch on/off the alarm goes on/off respectively. :)

My problem is the previous owner didn't use it and doesn't know the codes or have any useful info whatsoever. :(

Any ideas on how to get round this would be useful. :hmm:

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with these 3q's....

1.Does anyone know how to set/reset the A1 AJ600N without knowing the access codes?

2.Does A1 still exist as a company and can they help?

3.Is there a handbook with useful info available as a pdf?

my email is shem@f2s.com

cheers!!!!

A1 went out of business years ago, and the AJ600 has very few friends, most of them were fitted by D-I-Yers.It sounds like your battery is either missing or defective. If the rest of the installation looks ok , get the panel swopped , or start again with a new install.

There are plenty of installers available in the Manchester area.

Regards.

:)

BTW did you try 1,2,3,4, ARM as the user code..

Thanks for the advice!!

I tried guesing and accidentally armed the unit.

The internal alarm went off, followed by the external alarm. :fear:

30 mins, an extension ladder, hammer and drill later, my neighbours gave me a round of applause when I finally stopped it!

Can anyone now recommend a company in manchester that won't cost the earth to come and fit a very basic alarm system to a 2 up 2 down semi?

cheers
