Adi Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Bag of sh**e the cable must be atleast 50mm below the floor board. If you dont know electrics dont touch it simple as that. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
Guest Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 the cable must be atleast 50mm below the floor board. Unless it's mechanically protected. Concrete's a new one though.
Guest Chewie Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 So chase out a 2 inch plus groove for the cables to sit in and risk the integrity of the lintel. There was no way under it or behind it that was the only way to get the cable to the wall.
Guest Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Quite. That little bit of a groove there is much less of an abhoration than some of the other pictures so in the grand scheme of things....... On the plus side, some bits look fairly tidy. For instance, never seen anyone use so many clips on half a dozen 6" lengths of cable under a floor!
Guest Chewie Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Here are some more pics seeing as its open season on chewie day. http://www.videohelp.com/~craigtucker/LCD/
Adi Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 There is actually a right and a wong way up. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
Guest Chewie Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 If they are prestressed, or the reinforcing bars are at the bottom. This is an economy lintel which can be fitted either way up.
