Guest Sarah Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Hi I have recently moved into a new house and although we have been given the instruction manual for the alarm (optima xl6), we have not been given the current code. Unfortunately the previous owner passed away and he was the only person who knew the code. I cannot find any contact details for optima. Does anybody have contact details for optima or does anyone know what to do next. Many thanks Sarah
ian.cant Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Your going to need a an engineer to default the panel, try posting your location on here and probably one of the guys on here will be local to you or can recommend someone local.
Guest Guest Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I have the same problem but live in plymouth in a student house, any ideas that will not cost the earth.

Guest Peter James Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 From what I remember of my student house days (And I dont remember much (except all those girls of course)) there was very little point in having an alarm nothing worth stealing. In fact the house perminantly looked like it had just been burgled! Pete
Guest Guest Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 well all i can say is how old are you, as students have alot of kit these days, old man.
Guest Peter James Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I tell you what! in my day I could never afford anything other than cheap wine and pasta, and I was one of the lucky ones working part time in a burger bar. Seems to me these student loans must be quite a good little thing. If you're that well off you can afford to call out an engineer, though you might be better asking your landlord to sort it. Plymstock Security is in Plymouth. And im not that old but am going back 23years or so.
Guest Guest Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 thank you and i applogise you were not much help the first time, hope no hard feelings
