Guest Ants Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 Anybody know where an instalation manual for a Regalsafe RS125 is avaliable please? Or how to access and exit the engineers menu? My companys taken over some off these systems. Cannot access at present. Old engineer code is known to us. Many thanks
Service Engineer Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 Engineer On Site The System Manager should confirm the credentials of visiting Engineers before allowing access to the system. It is only possible for an Engineer to access the system if it is fully Unset. To access the system the Engineer will open a Remote Keypad (which will create a Tamper Alarm) and then press the Engineer Button; the Text Display will now show ........................................................ black knight Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 i had a similar problem of trying to track some user manuals down for the regalsafe family a few years back. i finally got a full (paper) copy of the manuals (install and engineer) from the scantronic litreature support desk. at that time they did,nt procide electronic copies. Guest andy jinks Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 bentley have taken over the RS/JSB panels. remember bentley ,they made the best panel ever ,The ALPHA V2. It left all the others in its dust, shame they didnt develope it
Guest andy jinks Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 i dont know if the old man is still about but his panels still are . can you remember how big the panels are,if you put one that big on a customers wall now they would phone the police on you. by the way has anyone used that symphony k/pad from ademco yet (very nice)
morph Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Bentley are still making their panels and supporting them with full spare parts package. They are based in Oldham and there contact number is 0161-6206992 They also make some of the "handy" modules that other companies sell, and the last time I was in their offices they were developing their own radio shock sensors. Service Engineer Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Your Right, Bently are alive and kicking. Just phoned that number and spoke to a gent who was just going home, said i`d phone back in the morning and let him get off. Weve still got hundreds of customers with these panels, i quite like em. Yeah their big but very reliable. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Guest andy jinks Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 i must add that although i have got alot of good things to say about the old alpha panels (not so much the symphony and the f133) i must say that since bentley have taken over the RS range(RS64,125,150 and REGENTS) we have had some problems with dodgy returns and as a result we no longer support them and mostly try to get rid and stick in a gard 800.How the mighty fall...........
Guest Peter James Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Every time I phoned Regalsafe tech support they always had a panel in alarm in the background, I dont remember once when they didnt, they must of gone home with a headache every night.
Guest andy jinks Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 they cant remember the default code to shut it up m8
