I know I've asked a similar question before but please bear with me; I'm just a bit paranoid about damaging my new panel. Your assistance is very much appreciated :)

I will be changing my old Paragon panel at home and the replacement kit will consist of a Texecom Premier 24 panel with two remote LCD keypads and I will be using Texecom Prestige Dual Tech PIRs

I still can't get my head around EOL wiring and to be honest the manual that comes with the panel isn't that clear about the zone wiring, how easy things used to be years ago when it was just two alarm and two tamper and power.

Would I be correct in thinking that one wire comes out of lets say zone 1 on the panel and goes to the first zone connector on the PIR, then bridge from the second alarm terminal to the first tamper terminal on the PIR with one of the resistors that come with the panel, then run a wire back from the second tamper terminal on the PIR to the tamper terminal on the panel, that would mean only using two wires for the alarm and two for power.

If I'm completely wrong could someone give me an idiot

tbh, the Texecom manuals are one of the best for DIY wiring guides, if you're struggling with that then maybe installing an alarm shouldn't be on your list of things to do? You can also wire the 24 as a conventional panel and use alarm and tamper loops as per your Paragon.

as lurch says ,you can still wire the 24 conventionally and use the global tamper

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

or fit a 8xe and have 8 tamper zones

I don't think it will be too much of a problme wiring the board, it's just the resistrors are confusing me a bit and the concept of EOL wiring, if some one could just give a simple explanation of eol that would put me on the right path.

thanks

Sparkyboy aren't yo listening to what people are telling you. You DON'T have to use EOL wiring with the Prem 24. It can be wired

how easy things used to be years ago when it was just two alarm and two tamper and power
.

So, why try to do something you cant gets to grips with when there is an alternative method that you can.

Sorry if that sounded harsh, Never meant to. :P

No worries there mate. EOL is an easy thing to do but hard to explain. There is a diagram on here some where and if you see it you ll understand, maybe someone will post a link to it if they know where it is.

We are here to help but somethings are hard to explain if you know diddly squat about it.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
