Guest the-baldeagle Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 We had a big thunder storm recently during which our alarm was triggered. I was at home at the time and was able to switch off the bells by entering my code. However, I cannot now reset the system. The panel says "FAULTS: 1 ENTER TO VIEW" when you enter it says "AUX TAMPER". When I try to enter my code it simply says "code invalid" but I know it is correct. Can't get anywhere except go round in a loop. I'd appreciate any help getting it back on line - any ideas please. Thanks, David

Any good reliable engineers around here - who won't push a couple of buttons, claim they've rebuilt the system and charge the earth - you can recommend. Or can I push a few buttons and sort out?
Guest Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 The tamper fault is most likely the bell, the panel is looking for an engineer reset thats why your code is not recognised. When was it last serviced? rather than just getting a quick fix it would pay to have the system fully serviced. Pete i'm sure bell tamper is listed separate , if engineer reset is required it's shown on the lcd display, get a decent alarm co in, bet you'll need atleast a new 7Ah Sla.
Guest the-baldeagle Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Thanks for comments - any good engineers in the Southend area that come recommended? I will happily pay to get it fully serviced; the system is about 2 years old so I am sure a service is overdue. I don't know any security engineers in this area and whilst I could look up a name in yellow pages or the like, I'd prefer a recommendation. get a decent alarm co in, bet you'll need at least a new 7Ah Sla. 7Ah Sla - what's that all about?
Mavrick_001 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Hi David, aux tamper is a tamper cct on the panel which has been connected to something, you could link this out but it's only a quick fix as it will be doing something, linking it out will allow the panel to return to "day mode" if your code isn't working it has either gone back to the defult code or it wan't an engineer code to reset the system. ADE panels really don't take a lot of abuse but I'm sure someone on here will be able to out to you. I'm in north Shropshire so it wouldn't be cost effictive otherwise I'll sort it, was in Detling Kent on friday.. shame I han't seen the post before or I'd have done a detour on the way home lol CCTV Intruder Access Control Tony Hughes, Proprietor, TRADE MEMBER
