Guest bunyip Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I have an old Mosaic alarm system (not sure of the model number). I recently accidentally opened the sounder cover and tripped off the system. Since then, the Mosaic control panel keeps showing sounder tamper. I have tried to system reset it, but it is rejected. I do not have a user manual for this alarm, so not sure what else I can do. It has also suddenly started alarming for no reason, sometimes in the night. I need some advice how to solve this problem. Can anyone help? Should I be getting someone to remove the alarm system completely?
norman Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Hello bunyip, I would recommend getting someone out to have a look for you, it would be unlikely that it requires replacing. There is a link to local installers at the top of the page. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Guest Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 To be honest the mosaic is prone to the keypads packing in. The Mosaic was never one of scantronics best panels and it may be time to have the system checked over and the panel upgraded, certainly get a reputable alarm company to check it over for you. Dave.
whistle Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Its got to be scantronics worst panel after the 8136 and or 840i I had to change a 8136 to a 840 with 15 idis mods on it the other week. It took me days to find all the idis mods remove them and re-address them back at the panel. Then re-fit them all.
