Guest RDS Mike Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Hi Servicing an old TS700 and the RKP (starburst) suggests a continuous 'lid tamper' on the CP - switch is working devlivering 5 volts to the output when switched. All appears neat, clean and okay and manual gives no indication - can you?
Deltaseven Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 HiServicing an old TS700 and the RKP (starburst) suggests a continuous 'lid tamper' on the CP - switch is working devlivering 5 volts to the output when switched. All appears neat, clean and okay and manual gives no indication - can you? Had similar on a TS2500 Networker. Try Closing the panel, and keeping it closed for at least 2 minutes before exiting the engineers menu. If it still shows panel tamper, go back into engineering, wait another 2 minutes and then exit again. Should be OK, otherwise you have a hardware problem.
breff Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Lt or lid tamper on a ts700 can be bell tamper as well as panel lid. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Monteey Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 No thats aux tamper Mark Hawks Ex BT Openreach Field Service Now Self employed telecom and data engineer www.mphtelecom.co.uk Also back doing sub contract work in the security industry. Retained firefighter Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue
Guest RDS Mike Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Thanks Guys Should have said that the aux tamper has been strapped. Tried the suggestion of DeltaSeven but still got hte tamper warning _ should I presume that the CP is down then? Anyway to bypass this so the CP can be still of some use!!!!? Many thanks again
Guest RDS Mike Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Thanks Guys - problem solved! The ts700 does infact share its lid tamper with the bell tamper cct (possibly the aux tamper as well thou have not tested that) -a problem with the bell tamper cct will show as a lid tamper problem on the RKP. Thanks again
breff Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 What was that you were saying Mont The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
