Guest Denis Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Hello Does anyone know how to adjust the entry exit times on the XL6 please? Denis
Monteey Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 That function can only be done in engineer programming mode, therefore you will need to call your alarm company. Thank you Monteey for your valuable help!!!!!! I found the information I require on a website! It took 2 mins to adjust the exit time! Wont be using this site again, perhaps all queries should be given the reply 'CALL AN ENGINEER EVEN IF YOU'RE ONE YOURSELF' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bellman Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Monteey was quite correct, Firstly, you didn't identify yourself as an engineer and secondly the site rules state that engineering info will not be given out to non trade members. If you are bonafide trade then perhaps you should apply for access to the trade forums. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.

I'm a retired BT engineer with over 40 years service but obviously seen as 'non competent'
Monteey Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Fine, next time i'll just tell anyone who asks exactly how to bypass any alarm, hate to state the obvious but security systems by their very nature are subjects we can only give out limited information. That does NOT include engineering information. I assume next time i get a fault on my phone i can just get BT to give me the keys to the exchange. Don't be an idiot and embarrass yourself in public. You asked a question that cannot be answered by people through this forum. If you managed to find out how to default and reprogramme your system via other means then fantastic for you. Put down Internet skills on your CV. At the end of the day, how would you like any burglar, rapist, murderer and god knows what to come on here and find out how to circumvent an alarm? You may have had a legitimate purpose but other's wouldn't. It does not show you in good light that you came back here with such a display of aggression towards someone who you don't know and was not discourteous to you. If you feel the need to show off then go and do it some place else. Guest Denis Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Absolutely ,if you think you can solve your problem once in there and confident you wont interfere with anyone else's line!!!!!!! I asked how to set the entry/exit timer and DID KNOW WHAT TO DO ONCE IN THERE without interfering with every alarm in the district!!! You are not an alarm engineer. Keep playing with your toys! I wont be back End Of Story.
Monteey Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 That attitude has earned you a warning, anymore posting like that and it'll become a ban Mark Hawks Ex BT Openreach Field Service Now Self employed telecom and data engineer www.mphtelecom.co.uk Also back doing sub contract work in the security industry. norman Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 That attitude has earned you a warning, anymore posting like that and it'll become a ban I don't think he will lose sleep over that. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
