C&K Securit 800L - Exiting engineering mode

I have a C&K Securit 800L alarm system that is about 5 years old. The original installer is now working abroad and I understand that C&K have ceased trading. I have the original installation and user manuals.

I had to isolate the system and entered engineering mode by entering the code and then opening the control panel lid. I was then able to carry out the necessary work. However when I tried to return the system to normal day mode, either by closing the lid and waiting 60 secs, or by pressing the # key, the tamper light continued to flash. I have rebooted the system (by turning off the power) and now the tamper light has gone out. But the day light is now flashing and we cannot set the alarm for normal use.

All combinations of user code, engineering code and # key fail to work.

If the system is refusing to return to daymode after pressing # there is still a tamper present on the system, check the lid spring and try again.
