Guest arcysparky18 Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Hi, I installed this panel about 6 months ago for my grandparents and it's been fine until recently. It has gone off in the early hours about ten times (in the past month, intermittantly) on a zone that comprises of two impact sensors, which have been wired according to the booklet diagrams. All zones except door contact zones are on double knock to eliminate false alarms and the sensitivity is set as low as possible to still activate. The alarm was working fine! Has anyone encountered problems with this panel before or have you any suggestions/tips for green installers like myself? Thanks
FASTCAR Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Hi , be careful when mounting shocks on upvc as they can creak when the temp changes , giving a false trigger (try some vaseline on the base). Also , if its a window , condensation will form as the heating goes off , make sure it doesn't collect in your sensors.
