_Spud_ Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Hey all, I need a bit of advice on a DVR unit. I am looking for a DVR unit, with 16 channels and around 400fps display and record and a CD-RW backup option. I have had a look at the cop unit but that only records in quod mode, so replaying footage in full screen would be impossible and this is an absolute must. Any help would be greatly received. Many thanks

morph Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 The dedicated micros BX2 is a high end DVR that meets the needs of most customers, having installed several in the last year, we have not had any issues with them and found that the customer feedback is excellent on them. You might also want to look at Norbains on Vista range or Visimetrics Octar system plus. A lot depends on the application its needed for and whether you will price yourself out the job by selecting the wrong DVR.

The unit is to be installed in my friends garage, it will have 10 cameras and will have a lot of motion so real time recording and playback is an absolute necessity. The unit will be installed in my friends place in Bermuda, he is coming over here for a few days and has asked me to sort him a decent unit before he get
morph Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 None of the ones i mentioned fit that budget, have a look at LJD digital DVR although if the guy is in bermuda i would want tmake sure which ever one he buys he can get it supported or repaired locally, otherwise it might be a wasted purchase.
