Yep and after a while they die too, esp. in a more modern house where they can get in, but no so easily out.

It's why after an initial period, a dead body in flat can be left undiscovered for months.

I think the oldest we found - going by the open TV times - was about 4 months, though others have been to years old bodies.

Sad really - clearly no family nor friends; it was a flat and neighbours hadn't noticed the TV on all that time either.

The rookie copper asked if we were going to use the ECG machine to confirm cardiac death!!

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Not in an a/c but I was only saying this morning I did a service on Friday, every time I go there's white underwear of a larger lady on the radiator in the hallway by the panel, it's there every time I have cause to go there!

The husband is one of those who stands over your shoulder and it's always the elephant in the room, very awkward!!

Do these people not think to hide their 'larges' when the alarm man arrives?

Note I choose my words carefully!!

Used to do an annual service at a caravan park testing CU's (still do but this fella has gone)

Every year the old awkward unloading of the cupboard, and removing the big clear plastic bin full of porn to get to the unit...

Being a caravan park (albeit a nicer than usual one), he was of course also retired and home virtually 24/7, so it was always obvious!

A friend is a Sgt now but when he was a beat bobby in his local village he made entry through a window to a house where someone had said they'd not seen the old dear for ages, he put his foot through her as he went through the window foot first, stiff as a board apparently (her not him)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Also did a posh college in Leeds and in the gardeners shed which looked out onto the general area through net curtains there was a stash of porn.

Did a call out to an upmarket gym in Doncaster high res on a plant room door, the totty on the front desk told me no one but the caretaker was allowed in there, not even them it was where the caretakers office was... Fine I said but you need it sorting, she let me in and it was where the cctv monitors were for the whole gym, there were used tissues all over the place, the guy was obviously tossing himself into a stupor in his 'special' room

Surely not a 'real' cat, must have been stuffed or whatever, 'cos the flies would have been unreal else.

When I said box I meant it was a closed wooden box with material round it with a hinged lid. I probably should not have looked in it but curiosity got the better of me. It wasn't stuffed! It didn't really smell but it looked like it's insides had rotted first and possibly seeped out on to the saw dust it was laid on. It looked hollow.

I was moving it out of the way and grabbed the lid to move it, when it partially opened I caught a glimpse of something with fur. I could not stop myself from taking a closer look. To say I was going through their stuff would be an exaggeration!

Once did a job at a chapel of rest was advised not to go in a certain room. Once we where left alone went in for a look.

3 bodies on stainless steel beds in the process of being embalmed, not the best thing I have ever seen.
