If installed correctly in compliance with the instructions, and your garage never falls below it's recommended operating temperatures then I see no reason why it shouldn't perform well.

one gap big enough and long which is the door to allow a car in where they can get in

Fit a Rubber strip along the bottom, or a self adhesive foam one(cheap to replace) both will take up the gap and not stop the door closing.

I don't think the temperatures in my garage will be as low as -20 or as high as 55oc. Where did you find that PDF? Was it in the member

One other question about the iWISE is will it still be ok if the mice happen to run across shelves? Or will it see them and cause a fa?
