Smokie Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 HI We fit hundreds of Inferno sounders (by Klaxon), the sound is so intense that we have induced vomiting and bowl evacuation (crapping is the technical term) both in the same site!!!!! They are bang on Smokie Thanks for reading my posts, however insane they may be. Just remember, 'Success is Built on Commitment, Hard Work, saying F**K it once in a while and most of all LUCK'. Guest mike2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Great! When I get round to installing my Texecom Premier 88 I'm going to add on an Inferno for sure! Are there any special issues with connecting it to the Premier? Does it just connect as per any other internal sounder, or is it different because of the internal battery that the Inferno has? Mike
Guest RICHL Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 The connections will no doubt be the same as for any SCB. Have you seen the price of these though? arm/leg
Guest Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Have you seen the price of these though? arm/leg 25066 I thought the general consensus was you can't put a price on protecting your property properly.
Guest mike2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Ok. I've now seen the price! What's the next best thing to an Inferno? Mike
Service Engineer Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 As someone mentioned earlier, the Gardsound 2+ is a great internal sounder (louder than most bellboxes). If your after something really cheap then the standard Soundbomb should fit the bill at about £5. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Smoke Screen Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Ok. I've now seen the price! What's the next best thing to an Inferno? Mike 25134 We fit these alongside our smoke systems and they make for an incredibly effective system. Go to Smoke Screen , click on the products section and the SSSB. There is a link there that lets you listen to a recording of one firing (does not have quite the same effect, but you will get the idea). The cost may seem dear, but the technology behind this makes it more than just a siren. It actually upsets the inner ear, and throws intruders off balance and as Smokie rightly says, can induce nausea in some people. After 5 minutes, the human ear can get used to most non-damaging frequencies, so after 5 minutes the inferno changes its frequency. The unit is fully battery backed up with its own charging circuit and is programmable by dip switches. Also Tamper protected. W/reference to the comment about chieftan tank build quality, we have actually had one attacked with a sledge-hammer to no effect other than spoiling the finish. Again cost will be the issue, but a demo of these units soon changes the customers mind and we literally sell hundreds of these. A lot of people who have suffered a break-in like the idea of hitting back. W/reference to the comment about wrong side of the law, these are 100% legal and in fact our insurers indemnify against the risk of using them to a value of £10,000,000.00. So if you bought from us and installed to our spec, this indemnity would be extended to you. The manufacturers also supply an indemnity to the value of £100,000.00 but the point is, these units are no louder than a master blaster and so leave no permanent damage. They are just incredibly unpleasnat to be around.......trust me I have just fired the demo unit in my office to check it was charged. NASTY.
