Guest Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 ...... and unfortunately the old biscuits are as rare as hens teeth! However TS690iD is a good panel - shame Menvier haven't decided to make it Graded. I think all the old biscuits got flogged to gardtec, Theirs a new "M" iD coming but then again we jumped ship to texecom premiers
Tallbloke Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Well, I fitted the PCB, which I got as a panel (with manuals) for 61 quid plus from Gardiner's, as it's old stock they let me have it at cost. Glad I asked! Went in OK and all was tickety-boo until I tested the outside soulder. Nish. I had only my folding ladders and it was lashing down so I decided to go back tomorrow with the big 'uns. Gladder still that the customer is VERY understanding and is paying the extra. I've had half already. Perfect cutomer who can get me more work. Nice.
sparky83 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Making additions to ID panels can be a nightmare if you dont power down the panel whilst you do it. I really dont think I sent 12V down the ID line as I was only adding door contacts, but after getting a bit aggressive doing relearns it blew the ID up in the panel and it wouldnt pick up any biscuits anymore including the old ones. I found this out the hard way about three months ago on a 690ID, we had to pay for it though so you were lucky! Trade Member
