Guest DingChavez
Hi Scott and welcome to the forum - please petition EL to provide information of EN grades for your detectors used in the UK! EN grades?
Guest DingChavez
That just about sums it up! The UK security market has had new regulations thrust upon it which requires Grading of all components used in alarm systems, including detectors e.g. MicroX. To be used for serious installations all detectors must now be confirmed as a Grade specified in the EN (European Norms) which is European Legislation. EN Explained If the Electronics Line detectors sold in the UK are not Graded then they will be/are unsuitable for use in professional alarm installations Ahh I understand now. They are slowly doing the same thing here in the US, but not as drastic. I really don't know what they are doing at other offices other than mine here. Keep in mind our branch does a lot of cctv and access as well as intrusion.
