I have inherited a Citadel XR2 domestic house alarm. The control panel has locked out following a lengthy power cut. I have tried shutting the power off but this just allows me to reset imputting key code then it locks out again.

Alarm panel shows power light and attack?

Can anyone help please?

Is there a panic button somewhere that's been activated? If you have buttons double check and make sure they hae been reset.

There are no panic buttons in the house. There is a panic feature on the control panel when 9 and 4 is pressed together.

If that was activated it should be reset by either inputting the code again or pressing reset, which generally clears most things.

If everything is as it should be from your point of view, then I would recommend getting the system loked at by an engineer.

Sounds like the panel has locked up after "lengthy power cut" :hmm:

The system will need powered down, then powered back up..

But I would get the battery checked as well.

Recommended

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
