Guest sniffer Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Hi Can anyone help?? With our Scantronic 9452, recently when we set the alarm it will go off without any reason at any time, when I check the control panel, only Tamper led is flashing. Neither the fault or service LED is flashing, nor any of the zone LED's are flashing so its not a issue with any of the sensors. When I check the manual, all it states it to enter the code in again and that will turn off the Tamper LED but this does not stop it from happening again. Any help would be much appreciated. Rgs Mickesh
cdosrun Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Hi Mickesh, just a thought, when was the alarm last serviced? I think it is possible this could be a battery problem if it hasn't been replaced in the last couple of years, that certainly caused similar problems when I had this alarm. Selsport69 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Yep 100% battery fault. I know got called out to 1 at 3 in the morning. Didnt have a manual to hand and could only get it to clear with changing the battery. Someone on here should be able to help you. Kev
black knight Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Surely this could also be an intermittent tamper fault.......... perhaps on the external unit? possibly but highly unlikely, 99.9999999% of the time it a battery fault on this type of panel. paul THE BLACK KNIGHT "Any comments / opinions posted are my opinion only and do not represent those of my employer or Company."
