Service Engineer Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 Lets just say for instance that I was thinking of going self employed as someone offering security services. My Duties would only include: 1) Routine Servicing 2) Alarm System Upgrades 3) Alarm System Monitoring Being as I would NOT be starting any new installations myself, but would be undertaking system upgrades which may include all sorts of monitoring, then which inspectorate could I belong too. As far as I can tell NACOSS and SSAIB, will only approve installation companies. So if im not going to be installing this would rule those out. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
steve777 Posted January 30, 2004 Posted January 30, 2004 If you were upgrading systems to DD243 then you may be able to join the new NSI Silver Scheme as this may require a certificate issue. Why don't you contact somebody at the NSI and ask the question?
