Could anyone help me with the connection of an external speaker to a LCDP remote keypad.

On the main panel, and a 8XP expander, the external speaker has 2 connections, SPK+, SPK-, with the SPK- not being common to 0v into the panel from the network.

Now, the LCDP remote keypad only has a single connection SPK output.

I'm not really sure how you should wire this to an external speaker, the Texecom manual is really not that clear here.

cheers,

Steve

Connect the speaker -ve to the speaker -ve output and the speaker +ve to the +ve on the RKP.

How do you know that as the SPK description in the manual does not mention whether it's + or -.

So, from what you're saving:-

SPK+ goes to + on the network connection terminal

SPK- goes to SPK

Do as lurch says, it tells you in the manual or on the pcb that the speaker connection is spk-.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
