buddyboy Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 i think you have to run the tamper up to the sab into the tr then another core back to the panel from ts. there should be a jumber that you can select pos or neg tamper, you need to take the jumper of completely. and you also need your resistor fitted in the sab. There's a jumper on the SCB/SAB pins. Is this the one you are suggesting removing completely? Ta.
Guest Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 i think you have to run the tamper up to the sab into the tr then another core back to the panel from ts. Just cos I'm a perfectionist, that's the wrong way round. TS is tamper supply and TR is tamper return.

No, that selects how the bellbox activates - there is no tamper jumper on the Hexidin. Check your installation guide for wiring, it's not as posted here.

Guest Whitehead Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Thanks for all your help guys. Problem sorted - faulty EOL resistor on the TR at the control panel. I should have checked it first!!
Nova-Security Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Did i not mention that............... www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
Guest Whitehead Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Did i not mention that............... You certainly did! I just didn't look hard enough, what with a control panel at the back of a hot press and a dodgy torch. Thanks for the help, you pointed me in the right direction. Happy New Year.
Guest Peter James Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Faulty bellbox for me - tamper circuit on the pcb failed, replacement and several others appear okay at the moment so hopefully an isolated fault. We must of installed at least 500 Hex's by now (90 screened lids used last Month) been using then over a year now. Havent sent one back or had one go wrong, I think I can safely say that you must of been very very unlucky. Pete
