I would use a day/night rather than just mono. In most cases you wont get enough information on a mono camera.

During the day colour is much better for identifying people, you will be able identify an indivdual from a crowd by what he is wearing.

Day/night is definately worth the extra dosh everytime.

Hi there, has any one heard of the covert smoke detector cameras which uses a memory card to store the images. My client has specified this.

vista do what you need in a PIR houisng avaiable from Norbain.

with a little DIY i'm sure you could mout it in a smoke detector
