Hello, I need to default my panel sometime in the future since can't remember the engineering code banghead . I have the engineering manual but what I am not sure is what happens when you default a panel. One obvious thing is all programming info and codes will be reset to default. I take it the external sounder will sound until the power is reconnected to the panel. Anything else?

If I don

Take a look at the factory default list , if you default correctly , thats how your system will operate.If you have (as said) PA buttons or smokes , or different part set areas/times , you will need to reprogram to accommodate these.On some panels , the code can be locked in, if this is the case then you will not have the engineers code to do the changes!!.

I see you are still hiding the id of your panel.....come on you can tell us ...omnicrom...Melcom..we wont laugh....you are amongst friends.

What a invoice to raise, callout on christmas day non-contract customer. Having said that we would have to turn it down due to not being on maintenence.

i dont understand that attitude...what if the customer said they would sign up there and then..non contract customers pay more and wait longer but should still get a visit...

Thankyou all for your replies. The default values look ok i don't think much programming is needed. I don't think the panel has the option to keep the engineers code after defaulting since nothing is mentioned in the engineer

I thought the engineers code was the only bit you wanted to change? :wacko:

Er, ok then. :ninja::P

I'm really really intrigued now though......

Yes I want to change the engineers code but does this not involve defaulting the system since I can't remember it.

I would like to say what panel maker I have but as I think one of the forum rules say not to give out panel defaulting info to the public. Well on sort of the lines of this people that I don't know reading this like non trade members knowing what maker of panel I have and some how getting my details might know how to default my panel. The less people know the better chance you have.
