Guest JohnD Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Hi, I'm about to install a standard double push CQR PAB - but having trouble understanding how the tamper mechanism works. There seems to be a piece of metal sticking out of the back of the unit and which gets compressed (by a miniscule amount) when the unit is fitted to wall. Also a second piece of metal which is compressed when the lid is screwed on. And I'm guessing that these 2 bits of metal are meant to touch in order to complete the tamper circuit. However they do not quite touch. I wonder whether it is usual to have to manually bend/adjust the metal or if a small part could be missing - or am barking up completely the wrong tree?
