shortcircuit Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Picked up a copy of a "Maintenance Agreement from an NSI Gold Installer "Shall attend any call out at the earliest opportunity, subject to the Company's other commitments at that time, but in any case upon the same day as the request for attendance is requested, and make good the system in accordance with either paragraph 2 or 3 above" I thought a 4hr responce(or by agreement) was the requirement. This company can either hang its customer by a string our achieve the impossible in the wee small hours. Is this normal for NSI Gold companies
Zak Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Without seeing the full document it wouldn't be fair to comment. "by agreement" is for audible only systems, from which perhaps this set of text was taken? Response time is 4 hours or by close of business, whichever is the longer. I think the term is "within 4 hours or before the system is required to be set" well thats what we work to. Customer rings at 8 am but closes at 6pm we would make an afternoon appointment (agreement) and would call as late as 4.30 pm. stats would show we met our appointment. I have heard of large nationals using terms on some contracts similar to those posted but hey it by agreement. jef Customers!
Guest RICHL Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 I think tying people in to long contracts is not the way to keep them, being reasonable and delivering quality gets you further. QFA! You need a contract but at the end of the day it is just a formality.
Guest Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 as stated..if a shop say is open till 5 call timed at 10 am..customer says just get here before 5 its fine, tho if someone wants contracted time its within 4hrs..if not they dont get charged if it turns out to be chargeable...
