cdosrun
Mavrick_001, you are quite right, Monteey, Breff and Lurch etc. all know far more about the Texecom gear than I do, and I would follow their advice (and will do myself). I only questioned it because the NPN output transistors on the panel that control the bell and strobe are the same as those for the other outputs (BDP949, rated by Texecom at 100ma for the other outputs, although can pulse up to 1A+), and just wondered if the current draw couldn't be that large. The other argument though, is that is probably isn't wise to load a high current consumer like a bell on a network, and to confine it to its dedicated (fused) power source. However, as I have said before, you lot are the professionals, I am only a student, so I would always take your advice above my own with alarms! Guest Lorraine
hi all, I just finished installing, I am very happy. only upstiars sensors left to go! I ended up wiring the +ve, 0v, bell and strobe back to the panel and wired the tamper up to my remote expander. Must say thanks for all the help everyone, it is very much appreciated.
