Guest hongdy
Hey, Guys, My name is Simon, Sales Engineer for CCTV and Fiber Optics. I like this forum, it's not mean I will try to promote something here, but I could learn something from you. BTW, how do you think of Chinese Security products? Did you ever buy or use Chinese CCTV products?
Service Engineer
Hi Hongdy, and Welcome to the Forums. Quite a bit of Chinese CCTV equipment is imported into Britain, we just like to steer clear of the really cheap low quality equipment that is currently flooding into the market. If it's a quality product at a fair price your quite welcome to suggest it in any relevant topic that arrises, but obviousely we will not tolerate any spamming of the forum. ........................................................ Pete hmm.. i must agree with this. i thou have proved it with few thousand euros for samples only. have a pile of them in our storages. doesn't still mean his cameras are ****. if they use sony ccd's there might be a hope that rest of the camera could do well too.. if not, i wouldn't bother.. Guest Patrick Woo
i admit that there is some quality differences between chinese and korea products, that is why korea's price is much higher. Just some tips when you choose chinese supplier: 1, must buy from direct manufacturer, the company should be big enough. 2, some chinese maker like to over specify their products, so you should clear the 420TVL in china, it is only 330TVL. patrick see our full products range at: www.wanjiaan.com/en
Guest hongdy
thanks all your replies. Don't be afraid of doing business with chinese guys. They are a lot of qualified manufacturers here. I ever did a purchasing job on hehalf a US famous brand(Non-security). I would like to share some ideas with you about how to deal with chinese companies: 1-Try not to deal with Trading companies, normally they don't have enough capability of quality control. 2-Be sure to get samples before bulk purchasing. For those expensive or non-smaple possible items, try to ask them technical questions. See if they are professional enough. 3-I do think User's manual will be a critical criterion which could reflect the supplier's quality. Try to check their manual before any buying. As a chinese, I could say those who have good writting and design for user's manuals are ususally proved to be a good company. Othwise you have to be carefull. 4-Deal with chinese companies will need you to spend more efforts than dealing with other countries' exporters. Why? Cause most of the stuff in chinese companies are not experienced enough to understand how end user's requirements in foreign companies, even for those sales. So you need to take care of more things, but you will be compensated with low purchasing cost. 5-Never trust pictures and photos, no matter those pictures are with good or worst quality, unless you think pictures are real enough and withou any modification. 6-Don't trust lowest prices. Nobody will cut their business because of price in hot cmpetition. If the supplier quote you with a price quite lower than their competitors, you have to be carefull. 7-I do think security is a little different from other industry in china. In china, those who can make complicated equipments like Matrix, Video Switchers, they usually are in good. CCTV cameras are different, it just like chinese DVD player and mp3 player, every factories could make, even they are not a professional Security products manufacturer. ...... so much for this time. Have a nice day, guys.
