Guest tom Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 My cleaning lady accidentally triggered the panic button when dusting. I entered my code and successfully reset the alarm to the inactive state, but about 2 hours later the alarm triggered spontaneously. Is there a time delay after a panic button activation, and if so how do I reset it? My user guide does not mention a panic button. The panic button does not have a reset key and is a simple press button switch that goes to open circuit on press. I checked it with an ohmeter and it seems to be OK.
Guest tom Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 there is no orifice to insert a key into the housing. I removed the housing and measured the resistance of the switch: normal 0.002 ohm: pressed: open cct.
morph Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Are you sure it was the same zone? How often do you use the system? Has it ever been serviced?
