Guest Guest_Kev_* Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Hi The Bloke who installed the alarm in my new house will not give me the Engineers code,as he fitted the alarms in the rest of the street! I would like to reset my Veritas 8 to factory settings. So I can install a code. Can anyone help please Kev
Brian c Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Sorry, defaulting information will not be given out in public forums. If you pay him for a callout, I'm sure he will reset your engineer code and void any maintenance/warranty on your system. You do realise what your asking?! If you don't know......ask.
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 This is my PROBLEM. I am not paying this bloke who has put a stiker on MY alarm system a fee
Brian c Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Why should he give you his engineer code and compromise the security of all his systems? Why should he give his time/wear and tear to vehicle/various insurances/not to mention probably years of experience/etc/etc, to you for nothing? If you don't know......ask.
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Why will someone not tell me ho to reset the alarm using my #### code to factory settings? Kev?
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I Dont want His "Engineers" code I want to control the ystem myself. Kev
norman Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Kev, Calm down and think about your question, the code will not be issued by the installing company for the reasons Brian mentioned, here is a user manual. veritas8user.pdf Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Brian c Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Posting panel defaulting information in a public forum poses a security risk to anyone with the same panel. Surely you can understand that? If you don't know......ask.
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I already have the PDF file "user guide" I Wish to reset the entire system back to factory setting. With codes 1234 and 5678. Kev
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Hi Paul. This has all started because one of the Keypads in the system being loose on the wall! When i remove the pannel frount the alarm sounds (tamper). Kev
