Guest Putbinoot Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 Have a locked keypad in my accenta6 have tried the things in Gazsuttonuk's thread but they did not work, have tried clearing the nvm by removing pa link and shorting 13to other terminal(should i say which one) and powering back on, but the keypad is still locked, could this be because my battery is only giving out 10v-11v will this prevent a factory reset. Battery could be low as whoever installed the system just rapped the battery cables round the terminals, maybe they had no connectors.
Guest oldtimer Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 First of all their are 2 versions of this panel Accenta 6 & 8 so check your manual with regards to clearing the NVM Also these panels come with battery leads so why the plugs are missing is a bit confusing and it sounds like your battery is u/s . If you get the right connections then you can reset the NVM when you apply the mains (remember the panel has to be powered down via battery and mains ) Any good electrical wholesaler will sell you a battery and if you pop into Halfords or Maplins you will get a couple of battery spades.
Guest Putbinoot Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 yeah mines is a accenta 6 I was following the instructions from my mate over the phone who has a accenta 8 although he said he was giving me the accenta 6 instuctions, maybe i will have to check with him.
Guest Putbinoot Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 reason for failed nvm clearence was that whoever wired this up connected the battery to the bell supply, so when i was disconnecting the wire that i thought was feeding the battery it was in fact the bell i was disconnecting. Only found this out today when fitting new battery. Changed wiring and fitted new battery and key pad now active. Although i think i will have to go over this whole system because whoever put it in must have been a cowboy.
