Anyone else using wanadoo with problems???

Cannot send e-mails from outlook ()Wanadoo do not support outlook, just outlook express according to their technical people!!!).

I can send from my webmail all ok.

I have since heard and looked on other forums that they have intercepted port 25 traffic?

Also something to do with relay e-mails?

It is doing my head in! How can we report the very poor service they provide?

I'm with wanadoo and use outlook (not outlook express) and I've just sent and received email fine? In fact it's very rare I have a problem.

If you don't know......ask.

Er, are you having a laugh? They're ****, as long as people pay them for a shabby service they don't really care.

Anyway, usually if you are having trouble sending emails and the word relay is mentioned it means you are sending mail to Wanadoos SMTP servers whilst being connected to the net through another ISP. If this isn't the case, then get a decent ISP.

This is the reply:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'paulgiles@pgsecurity.fsnet.co.uk'. Subject 'test', Account: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', Server: 'smtp.wanadoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 <paulgiles@pgsecurity.fsnet.co.uk>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I have seen another post re. this from someone in Ireland but couldn't really follow it for this prob, am i missing something?

I did have to change my outgoing settings a while back though.

From smtp. freeserve.co.uk(or similar)

to

smtp.wanadoo.co.uk

'paulgiles@pgsecurity.fsnet.co.uk'.

Is it maybe something to do with this email address? Can you send to other addy's?

I just sent an email to that address from my outlook. did you get it?

If you don't know......ask.

Use wanadoo here, and never had a problem, emails seem to be working ok

From smtp. freeserve.co.uk(or similar)

to smtp.wanadoo.co.uk

using "smtp.freeserve.com" :hmm:

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
