Guest andy007 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Is it me or are these panel hard to understand, programming seems a nightmare ?
Vince8282 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hi Andy007 It's you. If you follow the instructions it's easy. Practice in the morning, practice at night. Practice in the evening, until you get it right. Only make sure you are practising in the right way at the right time for it.
amateurandy Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hi Andy007 It's you. If you follow the instructions it's easy. As a total newbie to alarms I have to agree. I bought and fitted one and programming it wasn't difficult. The default settings were pretty good too. Maybe you need to take a deep breath and start again, or ask someone to go through it with you? Maybe you've just misuderstood something basic. Give us an example of what doesn't make sense?
Guest Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Is it me or are these panel hard to understand, programming seems a nightmare ? 10 mins for programming, 15 if you've got a coffee in one hand.
ABC Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 10 mins for programming, 15 if you've got a coffee in one hand. 25 if you need to take a break after the coffee with the newspaper and manuals in the WC.
ARJ Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Accenta G3 - that's bread & butter.- If I turn up on site and find any Accenta panel my eyes light up!! If you struggle with that one - you've a long uphill struggle ahead... ARJ A nearly retired previous installer !
Guest andy007 Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 It's not as easy as say the 9448 type basic panels, I can do those with my eyes shut. Any way I will stick to my guns, it is not easy at first glance, entry exit etc..is not dead clear !

Are you in the trade at all?
